Xbox 360 USB Mass Storage Support Coming Soon

The folks over at Redmond have finally decided to unlock those USB ports on the Xbox 360. April 6th 2010, Microsoft will release a software update for the Xbox 360. The update will enable the console to see USB mass storage drives! You will have the ability to move media to the drive or to the 360.  The catch 22 is that only 16 gigabytes are supported per external disk.  You can use two USB devices at once, but each can only be 16 gigs in size.  Kind of a bummer if you ask me, but it’s a start.

Microsoft will be partnering with SanDisk for a branded drive in May that will come preconfigured for the Xbox 360.

Xbox 360: Riddick Assult on Dark Athena Demo Hits XBL

assault_on_dark_athena

The highly anticipated successor to the Riddick: Escape from Butcher Bay just hit the Xbox Live Demo area. The Assult on Dark Athena is supposed to be released to retail stores around April 7th 2009. In the mean time XBL Gold members can download the 600+ MB Demo right now on the Xbox Live Marketplace.  The demo is supposed to be released for the PSN (ps3) later this month.

I am definitely excited. I played the snot out of Escape from Butcher Bay when it was released.  Unfortunately the game isn’t backwards compatible with the 360.  So Riddick fans have been left in the dark for quite some time. This new Riddick is going to put the furyon back in us all.  I cannot wait, this is going to be great!!!
