imagecaptureThis little quick tip will have you pulling images off of your iPhone and iPod touch so fast it’ll catch fire! This tip is for OS X only. I am going to show you the easiest way to download images off of your iPhone and iPod Touch without having the hassle of syncing.

First, plug your iPhone or iPod Touch into your mac. Go to your Applications folder and open the application called “image capture” the application will usually detect your iPhone right away. If you do not have anything plugged into the USB port, you will receive this message. You can plug the device in while the application is running.

Image capture-no device

When the device is plugged in you will see this dialog.

You now have a quick way to transfer the images from your device directly to your computer. There are multiple import options, you can click browse to select individual pictures by holding down the Command key and clicking the images, or you can select to download them all. The application will also give you the option to import all images when you plug the iPhone in.

Image capture also works with most digital cameras as well. I know this might be a silly post, though I have found out many people were unaware that Image Capture could download the images from the iPhone and iPod Touch.
