Well the last article I put up for this feature I had stated it was going to be weekly. I apologize for not following through but there wasn’t exactly a huge influx of setups. So today we have the gracious site builder’s setup in all its glory.

This setup is pretty much sweet simple and straight to the point. You can see a somewhat aged MBP what appears to be a Logitech g5 mouse and a Wacom Intuos3 tablet. Also a wrt54g running tomato, iTouch 2nd gen, & a PSP running custom firmware. By all means I must say this desk is fairly clean and straightened up. I will be the first to tell you I cleaned my work area for the first article and it wouldn’t surprise me if this desk has been cleaned up as well. That’s all for this week feel free to send any submissions with details to snowman@knoxware.org

iPhone OS 3.1 App Management Quicklook

Wednesday, September 9th, 2009

Today Apple released iPhone OS 3.1 along side iTunes 9. One of the big new features of iTunes and OS 3.1 is iTunes application management. The user is now able to manage their iPhone / Touch applications in iTunes 9. Here is a quick video sample of the management UI in action.

So far the system works great. I haven’t found any issues as of yet. I just wish we had the option to hide unwanted pre-installed applications that we don’t use.

Commodore 64 Emulator Approved for App Store, Quickly Pulled After Shenanigans Called

Tuesday, September 8th, 2009

Commodore Emulator

Here is manomio’s explanation:

Unfortunately Apple this night pulled the C64 App from the App Store. We had agreed with Apple to remove basic from the application, but as we believed it would be possible to convince Apple to let it in later on, we left it in the app to be activated remotely by us when we had “go” from Apple.

Due to the extreme publicity the app has received over the weekend and the fact that several users found a way to enable the basic back, Apple decided to remove the app from App Store until we have solved the issue.

This is very frustrating as we had no intention of tricking basic into the app and the fix was done in a few minutes the moment we found out – a new version has been submitted to Apple, and we can only hope Apple will appreciate our efforts to apply the changes they need in order to put it back on.

Until now – thank you so much for your overwhelming support, it´s a pleasure to read all your kind mails and suggestions. If we´re unable to answer all mails please understand, we do our best!!

In a desperate search to find a decent hard case locally for the 2nd generation iPod Touch, I stumbled upon the Griffin Wave case. What follows is the unboxing of said case. A review will come later, as soon as I do some more road testing.

I bought this case at Fry’s for $14.99. The case retails for $25.00 US online. Here is the full package.
