Help The Mac Universe Get An iPad!

Saturday, June 12th, 2010

I just wanted to throw this up here.  My partner blog is looking to raise enough funds to purchase an Apple iPad.  They plan on making some iPad cases with the funds as well.

Hostgator Billboards are Live

Friday, April 30th, 2010

On my way to northern Indianapolis the other day I passed by a billboard that had a surprising image plastered on it. I was driving so it was rather difficult to get a picture at the same time, but I managed.  The billboard belongs to none other than our webhost. Hostgator. I thought this was pretty crazy!

Hostgator is expanding big time, so it’s no surprise they have to advertise. I really didn’t expect to see anything like this around here in Indianapolis.  Hooray for green hosting!

If they pique your interest, definitely grab a cheap hosting plan. Hostgator has been great to us over the last couple years, so I definitely recommend them to anyone looking for affordable webhosting.

Quick Tip: Remove Firefox 3 New Tab Button

Wednesday, December 23rd, 2009

Nothing annoys me more than having new features added to applications and not having the ability to optionally control said “feature”. In my opinion Firefox 3 is guilty of this.  I do not enjoy the new tab button that is placed next to the browser tabs in Firefox 3.  There is no good way to disable the button from the preferences or even through the about:config panel.

There is however a simple plugin that allows you to disable the new tab button with ease.

One Drop Sovereign

One Drop Sovereign

Craftsmanship at it’s finest.  Words cannot describe how badly I want one of these.  Pure titanium build, precision machined, perfectly balanced, and amazingly aesthetically pleasing.  Did I mention you can spark it on the ground as well? You can do that with any titanium, but what sets the Sovereign apart from other titanium yoyos is the price.  The One Drop Sovereign is estimated to go for $170 US.  Some people might think that’s expensive, but for a titanium, that’s a VERY good price, an amazing feat actually. Most titaniums go from around $399 to $600 US.  One Drop managed to make the Sovereign affordable.

That is one of the reasons why I love the company so much and the reason why I love the guys behind One Drop. They really bring back what yoyoing is supposed to be about. With their great attitudes, outlook on life and the hobby, the One Drop guys are just all around great people.  The philosophy of the open company just strikes a chord with me.  One Drop represents everything I believe in, in yoyoing.  That’s why I am dedicated to them for the rest of my yoyoing career.  I cannot describe in text how One Drop makes me feel.  To me, they are what I have been wanting out of the community for the last 14 years that I have been throwing.

I hope to add the Sovereign to my collection. I know it’s going to be a blast to throw!

Mad love guys.
