I don’t have anything clever to say. Updates coming soon, I promise!
Oderus Urungus, lead singer of GWAR took a stab at reading an abysmal piece of children literature. Hilarity ensues as the video progresses. Just watch it, human filth.
The fine folks over at PlayStation Access, uploaded a video that showcases 20 features that you might not have known about the PlayStation 4 and it’s ecosystem. Did you know there are currently 140 PS4 titles currently in development? The system is set to be released around the November / December holiday-time of this year (2013). Most of the features have been discussed during Sony’s E3 keynote, but PlayStation Access goes into a little more detail about the specifics for some of the features.
Be sure to watch it in HD so you can get the full view of the PS4 in detail.
I first saw this video several months ago thanks to, Ryan Connolly of Film Riot fame. He mentioned this video in the “Mondays: Movie Scene Challenge Winners!” episode. The moment I watched it all the way through, I was completely hooked. The video is so good! I’ve probably watched it 10 times in total. These guys pull the first person perspective off better than most Hollywood block busters do.
Check it out and prepare to have your mind blown. The editing and parkour / free running is absolutely amazing.
Warning: There are some graphic images. If you’re sensitive to violence, you might want to pass.
For this first”FTA” (from the archive) post, I decided I would take one of the old favorites from the old Knox Ware. This little DIY project shows you how to make your own battery snaps out of a single 9V battery. These things come in handy for any DIY job you’re doing when you need some power. I originally wrote this post in 2005.
I just wanted to let you guys know that I am going to start a periodical post series that will be titled, “FTA”, which stands for; “From The Archive”. These posts will be from the old website archive, mostly posts that had lot’s of user interest when that website was lively and very active. I figured I would share them here since many people new to this site haven’t seen these projects before. So keep an eye peeled for more of these posts in the future. I don’t have a designated release date on them, they will just be posted when I feel like someone might get a kick out of them.
This inspirational video shows Leo, a feller who hand turns wooden bowls and other objects on a foot powered lathe. These pieces of work are done by hand in the UK. It’s nice to see someone doing this type of craft manually because it seems like less and less people carve objects out of wood by hand nowadays. The true skill has nearly all been lost due to the convenience of technology, power tools, and today’s youth having no interest in what our grandfathers or great grandfathers did in their time. It’s a true testament that these old methods still churn quality products.
One of my most used hashtags would probably have to be #todaysthrow. This tag is used in conjunction with pictures of YoYos on Instagram or Twitter. Usually these pictures consist of the YoYo that you are playing with on that day. Most YoYoers have more than one YoYo, so it’s interesting to see what they are throwing on a semi-daily basis.
I thought it might be interesting to post some of these photos here.

MMORPG.com has been given a limited number of free trial keys for Guild Wars 2. If you have been curious about this MMO, then you might want to get in on this deal. All you need to do is go to the MMORPG.com website and register an account. You will then be given a code to use on the Guild Wars website. Register your nickname and download the game client. The client is available for Mac and PC.
The official trial doesn’t start until April 19th, 2013, but it would be a wise choice to get your code and client early. These things will go fast! There are currently 10,191 codes left at the time of this post. I am sure they will be depleted by the time word spreads about this promotion.
So get to it! Slacker!
